In the community of Encuentro, in La Convención, Cusco, lives Don Fortunato, one of the last guardians of Kuka Saruy, an ancient Andean-Amazonian ritual that for centuries sustained the ceremonial and medicinal exchange of coca leaves throughout the Tawantinsuyo. As this tradition faces the risk of disappearing, members of the Q'ero Nation, families from the surrounding valleys, and young ritual dancers known as the Wayris embark on a journey to recover the knowledge of their elders.

Following ancestral routes from the high Andean mountains into the Amazon, they retrace a collective memory that connects territories , generations , and ways of unders tanding the world. There, in the community of Encuentro, nestled in the cloud forest s of Cusco, they are welcomed by Don For tunato—a farmer , son of the coca leaf, and guardian of one of the most precious seeds of Andean culture.
